Munich was one of the most beautiful cities I have stepped onto and the most slippery too.
I was lucky enough that snowfall was at its heaviest and being someone who rarely seen snow, I was ecstatic. Nothing will ever compromise for what I experienced during this time. With somewhat of a crappy weather as described by the Germans as this, it was quite impossible to get around especially with the thick amount of snow on the ground and continuous heavy snowfall. Just picture a heavy rain but imagine droplets of frozen cotton wool falling on you. As much as I loved that feeling of having to experience this much snow, the weather also bugged me. Rule 1, always bring snow boots(and I mean serious friction underneath your soles kind). Though the atmosphere was insanely beautiful, the floor was slippery as hell. It was impossible to walk on a pair of minimum friction suede over-the-knee high brown boots.
Despite the weather being some kind of a b****h, I and 3 other fellow colleagues fought the cold,minus-degree weather and went on with our plans in visiting 2 main castles situated in Munich.
Though mundane and inhibited for so many years, the castle seem like it was newly furbished. There were plush gold and royal blue carpets everywhere with intricate carvings on walls, detailed drawings of the past century people, paintings of the most beautiful things and sculptures carved so delicately. The furniture were mostly made of the most antique expensive wood and bronze, ceramic, marble floors and gold sinks.
Unfortunately, no pictures were allowed to be taken inside the castle. Therefore, this has been one of the most significant trip I had this year so far. A history that I stumbled upon.
